Im not entirely sure what it is worth more looking to see if any1 mite be able to tell me anything about it. I am unable to locate anything On the Name D. Ruth Hinton
tried everywhere I can think of. So I figured hey maybe someone mite be able to tell me something about its history or something at that.
Heres what I know
#1 its trench art from WW1
#2 Its a standard issue mess kit
#3 It was carved in Brest, France at Camp Hospital 33
#4 my great uncle acquired it at a yard sale at some point in time and he was quite a history buff but unfortunately he passed away about 5 yrs ago

With what looks to be some kind of emblem a cane with wings and 2 snakes intertwining it. With The Two Words "France 1918" located halfway down the cover Each word on both sides of the snakes.
On the main skillet part The name "D. Ruth Hinton" appears in a scroll with a flower with 4 leafs coming from behind it.
Under that it says "Camp Hospital 33"
and below that it says "Brest France"
on the handle its stamped U.S LF&C 1918
